There might be legal or business requirements that state that a signatory cannot sign within the first X hours after sending out an offer. It allows the signatory to thoroughly consider the documents sent out for signing and prevents hasty signing situations.
We support specifying a cooldown period by setting expiration timestamp on the signatory. When a cooldown is set, the signatory can only open the link in read-only mode, i.e., it isn’t possible to approve nor sign until the cooldown period has expired.
When the signatory link is opened, the signatory encounters the following screen that tells them when they can sign and that they can review the documents beforehand.
