MitID Core Client error - Danish MitID - Idura Documentation
  1. Danish MitID
  2. MitID Core Client error

If you encounter the mitid_core_client_error while running test logins, it indicates issues with the MitID PP environment. In relation to this error, you may also see error messages such as unknown: Error loading authenticator, unknown: API xhr time error or unknown: undefined is not an object. The errors come directly from the MitID core client, and are just passed through to your application by Idura. Please note that the MitID PP environment may occasionally experience instability, and MitID does not provide SLAs or status updates for this environment. Idura does not have control over the MitID Test Tools.

You may also occasionally see the mitid_core_client_error in production. This error is not actionable (i.e. there is nothing you or we can do to fix it), but the error can almost always be solved by the end user by trying to authenticate again.

Using TOTP test user as a workaround

In some cases, only App Simulator test users may be affected. If you are experiencing issues with the App Simulator (e.g. the Scan QR and Confirm action is not available), you can try creating a test user with a TOTP authenticator instead. You can do this by checking both the Password and the TOTP simulator checkboxes at user creation time.
